IAOS Islamic Educational Conference 2018


During the winter of 2017, IAOS held its first Islamic Educational Conference. Alhamdulillah, IAOS Board is pleased to announce that IAOS will be hosting its second annual IAOS Islamic Educational conference this spring from April 20 to April 22, 2018. The three-day Islamic Educational Conference will feature three distinguished speakers:

DAY 1 (Friday, April 20th)

  1. Shaykh Yusuf Badat: Shaykh Badat is the main Imam and ‘Director of Religious Affairs’ at the Islamic Foundation of Toronto. Shaykh Badat is the founder and director of Mathabah Foundation (www.mathabah.org). He is an executive member of the Canadian Council of Muslim Theologians. He has studied under some great scholars, receiving several formal authorizations with top honours. Shaykh Badat completed a rigorous 6-year ālim course at Darul Uloom Zakariya, South Africa where he achieved his masters in the Islamic sciences, on language, tafseer and fiqh. He earned authorizations in Hadith under the Grand Mufti of South Africa. 
  1. Mufti Aasim Rashid:  Mufti Aasim Rashidstarted his formal education in the Islamic sciences at Jaamiah al-Uloom al-Islamiyyah Ajax, Ontario in 1992. After completing five years of intensive studies, he travelled to Gujarat India for higher studies in 1996, then went to complete his ʿālim course in Dewsbury, England and graduated with distinctive honours in 1999.  Upon graduation he began his career as an educator, teaching a wide range of Islamic and academic subjects. After several years of serving as an imam, educator and public speaker he travelled to Karachi, Pakistan to complete his specialization at the renowned Islamic University at Binnori Town.  During his tenure in Karachi he also completed extensive studies and practical instruction in Islamic banking and finance.
  1. Shaikh Muhammad Mustafa Abdelsattar Dr. Mohamed Masloh, is currently seving as the Imam of the IAOS, Regina. Imam Mohamed Masloh is a PhD in Islamic Studies from the GTF “Graduate Theological Foundation “, Indiana, US. He graduated with honors from Al Azhar University, in Egypt. He is licensed with “Isnaads” in Quran, some collections of Hadith and books of Aqeedah by scholars from different schools of thought.

 Inshallah there will be a series of lectures from these renowned Scholars, over the three days.
