NEW FUNERAL & BURIAL SERVICE
Objective and Vision:
As the cost of funeral arrangements is significant, families of the deceased often face difficulties in arranging the necessary funds for the burial of their loved ones. Since the funeral and burial of the deceased is Fard Kifaya (a communal obligation), we aim to create a sustainable process where community members contribute to ensuring that the deceased are buried with dignity, without imposing an undue financial burden on the families.
How will it work:
- To become a member of this plan, please fill out and submit the IAOS Funeral Membership form, a pre-authorized payment form, and a void cheque, emailed to funeral@iaosregina.com. Please note that the void cheque can be downloaded from your bank’s app or its online website and should be attached to the pre-authorized payment form emailed to funeral@iaosregina.com.
- The fillable pre-authorized payment form is available on the IAOS website at [IAOS Pre-Authorized Payment Form].
- The individual membership registration fee is $100 (one-time and non-refundable), payable to the Islamic Association of Saskatchewan (IAOS), Regina Inc.
- The family membership registration fee is $200 (one-time and non-refundable), payable to the Islamic Association of Saskatchewan (IAOS), Regina Inc.
- Upon the death of a member or a family member of a member, the cost of burial will be distributed among all the members (member burial cost). This cost is expected to be around $30, based on the assumption that we will have a minimum of 100 members. If the number of members increases, the cost will be lower. Similarly, the cost could be higher if the number of members is lower.
What Services will be provided:
