IAOS is doing a wonderful volunteer job for the Muslim community in Regina.Start of Mosque for Jum’a and regular 5 prayers a day was a good initiative.Continuous hard work by present and past office bearers has resulted to start construction of a new mosque ( As- Salam) and a Community Centre on a large size piece of land at Victoria Avenue.Ground breaking ceremony on 9th September, 2023 was a wonderful event .Guests of honour included Premier,Leader of NDP, Mayor, concerned MLAs, the Bishop, Imam, a few other .All speeches centred around mutual respect and harmony among communities.
President of IAOS, Dr.M. Aslam explained in detail various aspects of the project, appreciating all team members and emphasising harmony irrespective of religion or belief.
The Muslim community is certainly expected to continue donations with more enthusiasm.
