New Funeral & Burial Service

As the cost of funeral arrangements is significant, families often face difficulties arranging funds. Since the funeral and burial of the deceased is Fard Kifaya, we aim to create a sustainable process so all are buried with dignity without financial burden.

How Will It Work

To become a member, please fill out and submit the IAOS Funeral Membership Form, a Pre-Authorized Payment Form, and a void cheque emailed to funeral@iaosregina.com.

Individual membership fee $100 (one-time non-refundable), Family membership $200. Family includes applicant, spouse, children, and both sets of parents. Upon death of a member, costs are shared among members.

What Services Are Provided

Funeral Home Costs (burial permit & transfer of deceased).

Body Storage at IAOS Masjid until burial.

Washing & Shrouding (Ghusl & Kafan).

Plywood Casket and Basic Plaque Marker.

Burial Plot and grave costs at Regina Muslim Cemetery.

Alternative arrangements at Riverside Cemetery if needed.

Funeral & Burial Costs

Adult Funeral (Effective Jan 1 2024) Transfer + Paperwork $1200 | Grave Opening $2050 | Lot Purchase $2720 + GST | Total ≈ $6 000–$9 000

Children’s Funeral (Effective Jan 1 2024) Child burial $685 | Infant burial $275 | Self-transfer reduces cost.

Regina Muslim Cemetery

IAOS has established a sustainable program to ensure that every member is buried with dignity without financial strain. Please read the guidelines carefully before continuing.

Step 2 – Fees & Terms and Conditions

  1. Individual fee $100 (one-time non-refundable)
  2. Family fee $200 (one-time non-refundable)
  3. Burial fee $30–$50 shared among members
  4. Transportation covered up to 50 km from Masjid
  5. Outside Regina burial support up to $3000
  6. Membership subject to IAOS policy and revocation terms
