Eid-al-Adha IAOS Message

Eid-al-Adha Message from the IAOS President

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Assalamualiakum & Eid Mubarak

Inshallah by the grace of Allah you are all Safe and Healthy in these unprecedented times.

On behalf of the Islamic Association of Saskatchewan, Regina Inc. (IAOS) Board of Directors, I wish you all have a most joyous Eid with your family and friends. Inshallah, you all are finding different and innovative ways to worship, contribute and celebrate with your friends and loved ones during this pandemic.

The IAOS is the oldest and largest organization representing the Muslims of Regina and we took this to heart when we were faced with the difficult task of limiting the use of our beloved masjid over the past several months. These were not easy decisions, but they were made with the public interest in mind. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

We thank all the musaleens that cooperated and adhered to the measures taken to limit any spread of Covid-19 within the Masjid and Muslim community at large. This new way of life has challenged many to reassess what is important and to appreciate what we have and be grateful to Allah.

A special thanks to the volunteers that continuously kept our mosque sanitized for all the daily prayers and ensured that people were following the social distancing guidelines. These were not easy tasks.

Stay safe,

Jazak Allah Khair & Eid Mubarak

 Munir Haque,
President,
Islamic Association of Saskatchewan, Regina Inc.
